Our Story
My Bohemian Store was founded by Burce Yavuz in May 2022. Originally from Turkey, Burce moved to Australia and instantly fell in love with this dreamland. From the moment she arrived, she knew she wanted to make Australia her home and bring a piece of her original home, Turkey, with her.
Jewellery holds a special place in Turkish culture — it’s been treasured for centuries as a symbol of beauty, protection, and heritage. Traditional pieces often feature motifs like the “evil eye,” believed to guard against negative energy, and vibrant gemstones that tell stories passed down through generations. This rich history and meaning inspired Burce to share authentic Turkish gems with the world.
Burce decided to follow her passion for fashion. Inspired by her love of jewellery and her desire to make people feel beautiful without spending a fortune, she created My Bohemian Store – a brand that offers gorgeous, affordable jewellery for everyone.

Our mission
Burce grew up in a family rich in love, but they often struggled to get by. As a child, she would watch her friends go on amazing holidays, wear designer clothes, and buy luxury items – things she could only dream of.
As a teenager, Burce believed that looking good meant owning expensive things. But since she couldn’t afford them, she found creative ways to style her outfits with what she had. That’s when she discovered the power of jewellery.
She saved all her pocket money to visit the street bazaars and hunt for beautiful, affordable pieces. Those colourful signature jewels became staples in her wardrobe, making her feel special every single day. Even the smallest piece could transform an outfit and change how she felt about herself. Jewellery gave her confidence and allowed her to express her true self.
